Our little Livi turned 18 months this week, wow!
Her stats:
Weight - 25.2 lbs
Height - 33 inches
The doctor said she is well proportioned and a healthy girl!
Her foods:
She definitely goes through phases with food. For breakfast she loves sharing my cereal and loves to feed herself with a "boon". She also loves yogurt, most all fruits and really downs Daddy's Famous French Toast :). For other meals, Turkey, cheese, grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken noodle soup (Dora shaped pasta is a plus), fish sticks (sometimes), spaghetti - when I feel like bathing her afterwards, lotsa veggies and of course anything sweet for a treat!
Her words:
Mama, Dada, Baby, Amma (Grandma), Papa, Nana, Gigi (Great Grandma) hi, ball, all done and more (with the signs), balloon, button, eyes, nose, hat, hot, cheese, cookie, and no, no, no(yes is still just a nod) there are probably a few more that I can't remember.
Her faves:
Taking a bath, playing, reading books, coloring and sticker books, pushing her baby in the stroller, emptying drawers in the kitchen and bath, dancing with daddy, ring around the rosie, helping me around the house, just about anything outside, trips to the park (see previous post), climbing (on a lot of things she is not supposed to, we are working on that!), talking on the phone to anyone, pushing buttons (mostly mine, just kidding!) and watching her favorite shows - Dora, Blue Clues and Sesame Street.
Olivia you continue to be the beat of our hearts, our oldest baby girl! God knew just who to give us when you came into our lives. You are a joy to raise and watch grow. You're so spirited, spunky and I can't wait to see you be a big sister. We love you!!

Yoga
Today Olivia and I tried a Mommy and Me Yoga class offered through our local MOMS Club. I have never done Yoga before and have always wanted to, it was a fun time! I really felt stretched out, of course some of the moves were challenging with a pregnant belly and a toddler climbing on my back, but I did feel the burn a bit. Liv was a little hesitant at first, but by the end joined in the fun...she has the Downward Dog down!!
(I did not bribe my daughter with malted mini eggs and cartoon watching less than an hour before dinner just so I could get these photos, nope not me! What kind of mother does that??)

Debbie Saves the Day!
Many of you have the privilege of knowing my most wonderful and talented MIL Debbie!! Well, she is quite the celebrity around these parts and I am so proud of her, she is truly using her gifts and loving every minute. She has starred in 3 (4 starting tonight!) productions at various community theater groups in our Valley and we'll see her name in lights once again this weekend. Debbie was asked to step in at the last minute at the Wherehouse Theatre's "Nunsensations"! I know she will do a great job and I can hardly wait to see her in action.
You can read all about it here. Break a leg Deb!!

This Morning with Baby Carter
Today my friend Addy had a Dr's appt so we got to watch little three month old Carter. What a bundle of cuteness and sweetness he is. Addy and Josh are so blessed to have such a calm and quiet baby, I only hope that this is the case for our next little girl. Olivia had lots of fun showing him her big girl skills - playing with toys, talking, and trying to help me. She really does love little babies and didn't seem too jealous when I would hold him. It was a good glimpse for me into life with two babies. Fun times ahead!!
Liv showin' Carter the ropes
This is pretty much how he was the whole time...ahhh, I remember these days!
Liv had to sit in the bouncy seat too, she wanted to be a baby, but just for a little while!

1, 2....
Well, some of the day did look like that but there were some bright spots, gotta focus on the positive right!? First would be an always eventful trip to Target where I bought Liv the cutest Converse tennies (in pink, of course). They weren't a splurge, honestly. I've been scouring this small town for shoes for her, how come no one warned me of a toddler's rapidly growing feet. After much searching, these were the ones. She looks like such a big girl in them, I can't stand it!! Oh and we also picked up a Dora potty seat to begin potty training, more on that in a later blog. Wish me luck!!
But the funniest part of the day, for me anyway happened later on at home. Liv and I have a little laundry system devised where she always helps me load/unload the washer and the dryer (and the dishwasher, I have her trained early!) - we have front loaders. Anyway, once the clothes are dry I pile them on my bed to put away. With her clothes I count how many clothes need hangers and go get them from her closet, so out loud I start counting, "1...", next thing I know I hear "2...". I couldn't believe it, I was cracking up!! Must be all that Sesame Street or Blues Clues watching, or maybe that counting method we use when we want her to come to us or do something. Great we're in trouble now!!
Anyway, thanks for indulging the new mom. Gotta document the milestones ya know...be them large or small!

A Good Reminder
I stumbled upon this video today and thought it was an awesome reminder of the promises of God. I know of this family and remember hearing about this incident, I think their response is amazing and hope it encourages you in some way!
